 High School Afternoon Art AClub Term 3 2018

 

AFTERNOON ART CLUB 

PRIMARY SCHOOL - Wednesday or Thursday $80 per child 3.35 - 4.45pm - 6 years and over

A term full of fun and creative workshops which allow children to explore their imaginations and a variety of art making methods.  Each lesson develops the skills to express ideas through making, encourages enjoyment in the process of creating and develops and refines art making skills.  This term includes a range of projects across painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, performance, film and photography.

 

HIGH SCHOOL - Friday afternoons $90 per term or $12 per week 3.45 - 4.45pm - 11 and older

In term 4 students will provide a professional opportunity for art club students.  In the first six weeks students will be supported in creating a work or body of work for a group exhibition opening at the Kids End of Year Party on Tuesday 27 November.  Sally will step each student through the process of concept, making, writing an artist statement, hanging an exhibition and holding an opening event.

The Gallery Peer Support Program invites students of the High School Afternoon Art Club to work with the Primary Afternoon Art Club on a voluntary basis.  Contact Sally for more information.

KIDS END OF YEAR PARTY

Tuesday 27 November, 3.45 - 3.45pm in the Gallery Workshop.

Come along and celebrate a fantastic year at the Gallery.  All participants of the Afternoon Art Club, Art Teenies and School Holiday Programs are invited to attend.  There will be fun art activities, yummy food, music, a slide show of photos and an exhibition of work created by the High School Afternoon Art Club.  RSVP's are required by Friday 23 November.

Afternoon Art Club is designed and delivered by Sally O'Neill, Education Officer who has a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in Painting and Drawing.  Classes are occasionally conducted by professional artists alongside Sally. Phone 02 48 234442 for further information
